Overview

Client-mode REST API connectors for SAP Ariba: purchase orders and line items on SAP Business Network for suppliers and buyers, supplier catalog items, Operational Reporting for Procurement, and Document Approval for requisitions and invoices. This is one of the templates in the SAP Ariba REST API app (sap-ariba). Deploy it alongside the other connectors of that app when they depend on each other (for example a token connector plus an API connector).
Not yet verified against the live vendor API: No SAP Ariba Developer Portal application (OAuth client + application key) or realm / ANID. All 16 gateway events were sent to openapi.ariba.com with dummy credentials and got 401 Unauthorized (an unknown service answers 403), and the OAuth server answered 401 for a dummy client, but no authenticated call could run.

Auth

  • schemes: [“OAuth 2.0 client credentials at /v2/oauth/token with Basic base64(clientId:clientSecret)”, “apiKey header (application key) + Authorization: Bearer <access_token> on every gateway call”, “X-ARIBA-NETWORK-ID header (ANID) on SAP Business Network APIs”, “realm query parameter on realm APIs”]
  • secrets: [“ARIBA_OAUTH_BASIC”, “ARIBA_API_KEY”, “ARIBA_ANID”]
  • note: One Developer Portal application per API; key and token must come from the same application.
Auth headers used by the template: Authorization: Bearer {value.json.token}, apiKey: {value.json.apikey}.

Template parameters

BASE_ADDRESS default: https://openapi.ariba.com.

Events

Deploy

Get the template card (JSON with template and metadata) from the broker, then deploy the connector:
The deployable connector from the REST API app, with BASE_ADDRESS already filled in:
Deploy it with -addRoute (do not include ADD METADATA).

Usage example

Call SupplierOrders by publishing a JSON payload to its request topic, and read the reply on the response topic:
