# Coreflux Portal

> Start a free trial, license your brokers, and manage your broker fleet and team from portal.coreflux.org

![Coreflux Portal sign-in page with email and password fields, a link to create an account, and the free trial message](https://mintcdn.com/coreflux/XJTFSRrz8BZ00-5F/images/portal/portal-sign-in-light.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=XJTFSRrz8BZ00-5F\&q=85\&s=5bd8bc50df3dd3d93a2f73a66815a9b2)

## Why Use the Portal?

Licensing a Coreflux broker used to mean asking your Coreflux contact for a license file. The Portal at [portal.coreflux.org](https://portal.coreflux.org/) makes it self-serve: create an account, start a 30-day trial, get a licensed broker running, and see it report in — without opening a support thread.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Like a control room for your brokers.** The brokers do the work on your machines or in Coreflux Cloud. The Portal is where you see them, license them, and decide who on your team can do what.

## When to Use It

* **Trying Growth features** — Start a 30-day trial that licenses one broker with Growth features
* **Licensing a broker** — Get an activation code and the exact install command for Docker, Linux, Windows, or Helm
* **Keeping an eye on brokers** — See which brokers are online, which version they run, and how they perform in **Fleet**
* **Working as a team** — Invite colleagues into your organization and give each one a role
* **Adding a license you bought** — Claim it with its activation code so it shows up in your organization

## What You Find in the Portal

| Area | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Overview** | The first screen of an organization: fleet status, brokers that need attention, licence use, broker shortcuts, and recent activity. While the organization is empty, it walks you through starting a trial and adding your first broker. |
| **Fleet** | The brokers in your organization, their status, version, hosting, and performance. **Add broker** starts here. |
| **Licensing** | Your trial and licenses, what each one includes, which brokers use it, and license requests. |
| **Team** | Members, pending invitations, and groups. |
| **Settings** | Organization name, the MFA policy, and audit logs. |
| **Downloads** | Public broker and HUB packages. You do not need an account to download. |

> [!NOTE]
>
> The broker's free edition runs without an account. You need the Portal only when you want a licensed broker, a trial, or Fleet management.

## Trial and Editions

The trial lasts **30 days**, covers **one broker**, and is limited to **one trial per account**. The Portal shows its plan as **trial**. On the broker it lands as **Growth** entitlement, so Growth features such as custom ACL rules work during the trial. See [Licensing and Enrollment](/latest/mqtt-broker/licensing) for how the broker uses its license.

Licenses are signed, and the broker checks them offline. A licensed broker keeps running when it cannot reach the Portal.
