# Getting Started with the Portal

> Create a Coreflux Portal account, create an organization, and start your 30-day trial

## Why This Matters

Everything in the Portal belongs to an **organization**: brokers, licenses, and members. A new account starts with no organization, so the first steps are to sign up, create one, and start your trial.

## Create an Account

**1. Open the sign-up page**

Go to [portal.coreflux.org](https://portal.coreflux.org/) and choose to create an account.

**2. Confirm your email**

The Portal emails you a confirmation code. Enter it to finish creating the account.

**3. Sign in**

Sign in with your email and password. If you forget the password, use **Forgot password** on the sign-in page to reset it.

## Create an Organization

After your first sign-in, the Portal asks you to create an organization. Give it a name; you become its **owner**. You can create more organizations later from the organization switcher.

If a colleague invited you, open the invitation link from the email instead. Accepting it adds you to their organization with the role they chose.

## Start Your Trial

**1. Open Overview**

While your organization has no trial and no brokers, **Overview** guides you through the first steps.

**2. Start the trial**

Start the free trial: one broker, free for 30 days, one trial per account.

**3. Keep the activation code**

The Portal shows the trial's activation code **once**. It does not keep a copy. If you lose it, open the license in **Licensing** and choose **Get a new activation code**.

**4. Add your broker**

Continue to **Fleet** → **Add broker** to install and activate the broker. See [Fleet](/portal/fleet).

> Only one trial is available per account, even if you delete the organization that held it.

## Download the Broker and HUB

The **Downloads** page lists the published broker and HUB packages. It is public, so you can download before you sign up.
